Dear All,

Thanks for the questions and great that you will be able to think along with us and find the time and place for this project!

As of now I see the following three options. Still aiming on Sunday the 24th of July.

1) Presenting in one of the main stages inbetween talks

This is still the preferable options for us, but im aware that the build time I presented is not workable for you. Maybe we could turn the question around and what buildup time would be possible in the program ? Then we can see if that is workable for us. As I mentioned we are flexible and can prepare a lot in advance.

So the show itselve is bewteen 75 an 90 minutes. What time for transitions would be possible then ?

To give an idea how quick this could work we already interjected part of the performance during a lecture in Pakhuis de Zwijger: https://youtu.be/PAtENkejY1M?t=1965 <https://youtu.be/PAtENkejY1M?t=1965>

Here we were presented as a musical intermezzo . This is not the way we would like to present at MCH2022 but we would love to play the whole show. But i shows it’s possible to prepare everything in advance and quickly change. However this would entail that we are able to prepare this in the morning before the lecture program start.

I attached to images of the stage and a top view of the stage setup. These photo’s are taken in a theatre so they are dark but we don't need a full dark stage to preform.

2) Presenting on the music stage

As for presenting on the Music stage, i’m not sure if the play would work there. I assume this are is designed for people to stand and dance and for the Silicon passion we would like people to sitdown.

To get the correct vibe and make sure people can follow the story. Do you have pictures or design for this area ?
I found this area and it looks like its mainly a food / music area and I think the show will not work in such a venue.

3) Presenting on our own stage
It’s also still possible for us - if there is room - to somehow build our own stage and present the show there.

Last week I talked with Bjorn Wijers from Public Spaces and he told mee that this would fit in the whole vibe of the festival. We would really love to present at MCH2022 so we would be willing to invest in this but then we need to find a good place and a way you can help us by providing e.g. power and support how to place this inside of the whole organisation.

So if placing us inside the main pogram is to dificult this is also and avenue we would like to explore.

Kind regards

Jelle

This really should become a three-way conversation between the Setup people, Music Stage team and Productiehuis on what is feasible on what stages. We as team content have little to contribute here, other than that we don't want to lose much in the way of main stage slots due to build-up and tear-down of the musical bit. @Chris This also reminds me that we should include the Music Stage in our programming, will look into ways to give you direct access to PretalX for doing so.
