You can certainly do that. It is a good way to blow your ears out with unexpected notification sounds ;)

Sending audio via FoH would really be my recommendation that way we can keep a physical handle on the volume.

Basics are beams are configured in Holoplot plan using a laptop or the Mac mini we are shipping with the system. Each beam is configured with a mapping to a Dante Dante channel. Then one uses the Dante routing matrixs to get audio to the speakers which unfortunately because it's Dante needs to be mapped to each module in the system indivually.

Limiters, EQ, Crossover etc are implemented on the modules and depending on the software version we run with can also be configured via plan on a per beam basis.

There isn't a volume knob so to speak as it is a bit hard to figure out what that means in such a system. So the volume control you have is on the sending side. If you use a virtual sound card then definitely turn off notification sounds and use an application with decent volume control like a daw.
