[Family] Considering coming to MCH with my 10yo and 15yo boys

Hi,

I'm considering coming to MCH2022 with my 10yo son (full time) and for
parts my 15yo might join too.

I'm quite new to this, and consider myself "scene-adjacent". I've been to
SHA with my oldest son, but the people we went with are all dispersed now
as far as I know, so I don't have a place to 'land' and found the info I
found on the wiki not helping me with deciding if and how I could come to
MCH with my boys.

My specific question is if it's possible to get an idea on how many kids
will join the family-village campground (there is such a thing, right?). Or
at least get some minimum, so my kids will know there are at least some
same-age kids.

This might sound very specific, so I feel the need to explain this a bit
further:

I don't know how my 10yo son will react to being in a group of strangers,
this is quite unpredictable, so what I can do for him is prepare him and
maybe even meet with some people beforehand if people are up for that. Is
it possible to get any sense about the number of kids in his age range that
are going to be there?
Once he gets over this initial bump, he's super social, helpful and
talkative, but experience learns this intial bump is something I need to
prep for.

For my 15yo son, he told me he didn't want to come if there are no kids of
same age, so I don't know if I should buy a ticket for him or arrange
something else for him for the days i'd be away. His friends are not
interested or have parents who don't like the idea of a "hacker camp".

I hope somebody can point me in the right direction for this!

thank you,
Emile Aben
