[why2025-terrain] Team NUTS battery for power grid WHY2025

Dear team Terrain,

Please find my conversation with Team:Safety about the perimeter around the BESS north of FoodCourt/Bar, below.

I hope this bith clarifies things and makes the puzzle slightly easier.

The TL;DR: fencing around the BESS is somewhat flexible, and as long as no semi-fixed structures are placed in the area around the BESS, pedestrians can move there freely.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Mark (Dynom)

>>
>> Yesterday we've had a productive meeting with team terrain. We briefly spoke about the safety barrier around the battery, and there was a bit of uncertainty around the perimeter. It would be lovely if we can get specific about the requirements for it, so that we can help team terrain to solve their immensely complex puzzle, while keeping it safe and enjoyable for our visitors.
>>
>> The location around the battery, especially the bar and its seating area [0], is currently a bit of a puzzle. Part of the discussion was this earlier references about a safety area around the battery, for which we could use some additional clarification.
>>
>> Right now your request is for a 3 meter perimeter around the battery. We'd love to get a better understanding of what this perimeter is and the purpose for it. Apologies in advance if this has already been answered.
>>
>> For context:
>>
>> A perimeter of open-space is something that will much more easily help with the location puzzle in contrast to a fenced perimeter, as that will leave no room for walking around the battery area. If the area is merely for convenient access for emergency services when the proverbial hits the fan, that's less obtrusive and the area can be dual-purpose.
