I was told by Homski, to send a small introduction abouy myself, as I told
him i can't promise it will be short.

Hi, i'm Bendik also known as skandix and sometimes hx, an enthusiastic
energetic person who is partially a workaholic, addicted to work with fresh
technologies, and hardware. I also try to jogg/bike now and then, and a bit
addicted to rock climbing. I'm from norway, so norwegian is my native
language, but im Full professional proficiency in english, Im able to read
and understand some written dutch :D.

I'm 30 years old staff engineer manily a hpc sysadmin working and
specializing in openstack and kubernetes, in a university in South of
norway. I also lecture computer engineering students, in IT-Orchestration
technologies along with kubernetes, lecturing some master courses in
practical security and IoT, and write internal tooling for students and
researchers.


I also work as a freelance live sound engineer, and i have been doing since
2019. Prior to this is have worked about 10years as a voulenteer, both on
small lan parties and larger event such as dreamhack, and other large scale
festivals in norway as a stage tech, and some rigging experience both
Sound, Ligths and LED Panels. I have also been a DJ Tech, for the largest
beach party in scandinavia, meaning prepearing gear for the mainstage acts,
and making sure the other venues on site had working gear, and firmware
updating them, and setting it up as to what each artist is expecting in
terms in settings, mostly working with Pioneer Gear .When it comes to sound
tech gear i have worked with a lot of mixers both analog and digital
mixers, and also experience with Dante in small scale and large scale
productions. I have also experience working as systems tech, and tuning PA
to eliminate any noise, and make sure it sound as clean and netural as
possible.


Before my position as a staff engineer i took over most of the A/V and
Broadcast resposibility at the university due to co-workers getting sick
with covid and other unforeseen injuries. I worked with support, streaming
lectures to courses, be on call to fix and troubleshoot hardware and
software, scheduling streaming, and instal new hardware. Im AV i have
worked with black magic design devices, newtek hardware and broadcasting
solution, ptz camera, birddog, sdi, ndi, companion + streamdecks, qlab,
obs. Also experience as a ptz camera operator, broadcast mixing.

I also have experience working with ligths, mostly GrandMA2 and some with
GrandMA3.

Other this i've also worked as a voulenteer cordinator for the developer
confrence Javazone for about 8years, with coordinating the shifts, and
handeling that they meetup to their shifts as planned, and if not, to take
action to findout if they have had an medical emergency, or just overslept.

Generally, as mentioned very energetic person, love technology, and i'm
very practical, very socially, and a first time hackercamp attendee :D

I've tried to add the most important things that i can think of on the top
of my head, just woke up from a nap :D
