Hi there,

I was wondering whether you were planning on having Signal Angels at WHY
(as you did at MCH) and who to contact about organizing that if so?

I originally contacted Team:Volunteers about this and they said I should
contact you instead. To see where I should send the mail to I had a look
at the Team:Productiehuis wiki page and saw that they're already planned
to be there, making the original mail I originally sent mostly obsolete.

The wiki leaves me with the question: Do you want me to organize/prepare
the Signal Angel stuff for WHY or do you have someone/something else
planned for that?

Regards
   trilader

--- The original email text ---

In case you don't know what Signal Angels do:
They're basically the online Q&A interface for people watching the
streams outside the lecture halls (or in case of a camp: tents). They
also look at the chat and communicate issues with the moderation team in
case of spammers/trolls and the video team in case of technical issues.

Why I'm writing this email:

I'm taking care of the Signal Angel Orga for Congress and CCCamp since
34c3 and Camp19 after whoever did it before me didn't do it anymore (I
was just a normal Signal Angel before that).

I also organized the Signal Angels during MCH on short notice. This was
because as far as I know they weren't planned beforehand, or at least no
one contacted me about it.
When I arrived for MCH I got asked if I'd be willing to organize them,
which was a bit hectic considering I also had other things planned a
little over 24h before start of talks. In the end it all worked out but
could've been less hectic.

At the big CCC events this is organized via the "🞛 Saal" meta team
which someone from each team involved in things with lecture halls in it
(e.g. Video, Audio, Stage Management, Hall Access Coordination, Heralds,
Signal Angels).
